“If you also watched and also traumatized by The Transformers Movie as a child in the 80's, then you too probably have a soft spot for Hot Rod, voiced by 80's demigod Judd Nelson at almost exactly the same time The Breakfast Club was being made.
Even though he was the main protagonist of the film, I think he's still really underrated. He was the most human and most relatable of all the Transformers in my opinion. He was my absolute favorite Transformer in the movie for about 45 minutes, until the Matrix aged him like 30 human years and turned him from a sports car into a minivan.
But now that I'm older and my kids are the same age I was when the movie first came out, Rodimus Prime may now have his own soft spot. I bet his vehicle form has a mini-fridge and multiple cup holders."
